A couple weeks ago I traveled from New Jersey to Massachusetts for an impromptu photo shoot with Brody Wilson, Rich Kearns, and Ray Bennett. I have been to Massachusetts many times in the past to shoot motocross racing, but never have I had a chance to shoot FMX there.
Being able to shoot at a new location with different riders was a real treat. I felt like a kid in a candy store when I first saw the beautiful landscape Brody Wilson’s 50+ acre property has to offer. There are so many different angles that I couldn’t accomplish everything I wanted to do because high winds gave us very limited shooting time. I was only able to shoot action for an hour and a half over the 3 days I was there. The Wilson compound was so much fun to shoot that I already have another trip in the works to get back out there.
The Wilson compound has nearly every type of jump, obstacle, and training device to make you a better rider. It is no wonder that Brody received an X Games invite this year, and if he hadn’t been hiding up in Massachusetts all these years we might have seen Brody in X Games even sooner. Watch out for this kid because he is coming into X Games virtually unknown with a massive bag of tricks and aggressive yet smooth extensions.
